Alheit Vineyards

Chris and Suzaan Alheit are husband and wife in life and in the vineyard. The Alheits have worked in the wine industry in California, Western and South Australia, Germany in the Moselle Valley and have traveled to the greatest wine-growing countries in the world. They make Europe their wine model and are convinced that the wine regions of South Africa can produce great wines. The estate's philosophy is essentially based on the terroir and the reflection of its expression in the wines with as little intervention as possible. Fermentations are therefore carried out with native yeasts. The resulting wines should be graceful and not body-building.
