For this vintage, the Sauvignon Blanc comes from 2 different places to obtain an attractive and balanced wine. The first location is nestled in the Andes Mountains , in the western corner of the Curico region. The vineyards are located approximately 500 meters above sea level, a much higher altitude than the majority of the valley. The higher altitude and proximity to the mountains mean that evening temperatures drop significantly, allowing Sauvignon Blanc grapes to retain crucial acidity as they ripen. This altitude also guarantees minimal intervention in the vineyards. The second location is located in the Cachapoal Valley. In this warmer place, Sauvignon acquires great aromatic expression. Wines from this warmer location generally have a little more body, making the final blend an excellent combination of aromas, acidity and substance. The wine is vatted for a short time before being bottled in order to preserve the youth of the wine. This wine is full of vigor and reveals invigorating aromas of lime , grapefruit zest , green apple , kiwi , melon , gooseberry , basil and honeysuckle . The palate is very frank and aromatic. A very beautiful expression of this grape variety.

Central Valley The Central Valley (El Valle Central) of Chile is one of the most important wine-growing regions in South America in terms of volume but also in terms of distance. It extends from the Maipo Valley (just south of Santiago) to the southern end of the Maule Valley. This distance of almost 400 km covers several types of climate and in this vast region we find a wide variety of styles and qualities of wine, coming from many different terroirs.

It was Hernán Cortés who ordered, upon the conquest of Mexico, the cultivation of vines in 1524. It gradually extended from Mexico southwards to reach Chile in 1555. During the first 3 centuries of colonization, there was no Cultivated in Chile as país, a black grape variety without character and very productive. It was not until the middle of the 19th century that noble varieties were introduced: mainly cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, sauvignon blanc and chardonnay. Twenty years later, winemaking was modernized under the leadership of wealthy owners and French experts who were forced into unemployment by phylloxera in Europe. Chile stretches 4,300 kilometers from north to south. It is wedged between the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Andes Mountains to the east, the Atacama Desert to the north, the Patagonian plains and glaciers to the south. These natural barriers prevented phylloxera from entering the country. Although the country is only 160 kilometers wide, it has ideal conditions for growing warm, intermediate and cool grape varieties, so much so that it is often described as a paradise for growing grapes. With nearly 300 properties producing bottled wines, Chile fluctuates between 6th and 8th place in the world.
