Thistle & Weed is a South African-based winery founded in 2015 by Etienne Terblanche, a winemaker, and Stephanie Wiid, an oenologist. Located in the Stellenbosch wine region, the winery specializes in producing high-quality wines. The core of their production is Chenin Blanc, reflecting the founders’ passion for the grape and their commitment to expressing the unique character of their terroir. Inspired by the region’s natural beauty and the complexity of local ecosystems, Thistle & Weed embraces winemaking practices that respect and value nature. Their approach is grounded in simplicity, authenticity, and a deep connection to the land, aiming to produce wines that are not only delicious but also representative of their environment.
